Britnie Jenkins
Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you found me today. I hope you’ve enjoyed your time perusing my site.
As you can see, my name is Britnie. I’ve wanted to be a writer ever since the third grade when we were assigned a project about the Loch Ness monster, and I first had the opportunity to write a short story. I’ve always had a love for stories, especially the ones my mom would tell while we were on long drives, and for as long as I can remember, reading has been another huge passion.
I grew up in a small town in southwest Kansas, with a graduating class of 42 people. I attended Sterling College (which wasn’t that much bigger), and I majored in English and Writing & Editing. While at Sterling, I was heavily involved in our writing club, The English Blend, as well as the literary magazine we produced, The Great Plains Review. I served as the president of The English Blend for two years and the layout editor for The Great Plains Review for four years.
I moved to the Kansas City metro area almost 10 years ago, and while I’ll always be a small town girl at heart, I very much enjoy living in the city. In addition to writing, I am a big fan of musicals, warm beverages, office supplies, and snuggling with my dog.
Currently, I am working on publishing my first novel and drafting the next!
