Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read my first post! When I took my website live and hit “publish” on that first post, I wasn’t sure how many people would take the time to read my words, but the important thing was the act of starting. That being said, I have been incredibly encouraged by all of your kind words and your support. Thank you for wanting to come alongside me in this journey.
I know that typically some kind of “Welcome” post should be the first one, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to start this project back up with a “Restart” post. It felt very fitting for the first of January, which is all about restarting and building new habits.
Before we dive into more about me and my writing journey, I wanted to take a bit of time to explain how I want this space to work.
I have a good feeling about 2024. I’ve got a couple of writing conferences lined up, and like I mentioned previously, I feel the itch to sit down and put words on paper, craft new characters, and build new worlds. I’ve always enjoyed writing down my New Year’s Resolutions, and for the past several years, I have taken the last few days of December to ruminate on the upcoming year and decide what things I want to focus on or accomplish in the next year.
One of my 2024 resolutions is to focus more on my writing, and that includes writing these blog posts. I’d like to set a goal for myself to post 1-2 times a week, and to always have a few posts scheduled ahead of time–that way I’m not scrambling to post something just for the sake of posting. For now, I’ve decided to make Mondays and Thursdays my posting days, so be on the lookout for updates from me on those days!
In the same vein, I also want my readers (that’s you!) to want to keep coming back. I know how I want to use this space, but I am also always open to suggestions for other things to include here. So if there are any specific things you’d like to read, I’d love to know what those are! A few examples: writing samples, book reviews, writing advice, a Q&A, non-writing related things like recipes or photos of my dog, more generic information about what goes into book publishing, playlists, etc.
I’ve got plans to cover most of my examples listed above, but if there is anything else you really want to know or learn more about, feel free to comment below!

I would love a top 10 tswift song ranking along with reasons why that song is ranked at that specific ranking.
